The Accelerator Purpose To test your ability to adjust the speed appropriately and accurately. Types of errors you can make: NCDE You get allocated one non critical driving error (NCDE) if you for example Accelerate too fast
Do not use the accelerator as a tool to slow down the vehicle early enough (e.g. you see the lights a head have changed to red but you still keep accelerating instead ease off the accelerator)
Accelerate in an uncontrolled manner (e.g. need a lot of time or repetitive braking and accelerating to adjust to the appropriate speed)
TIP Common is the excessive application at drive off. If you find yourself pressing the pedal down at the drive off and taking your foot off immediately afterwards because you thought "wow, that's too much" then you need to exercise.
